On Thursday 30th January the Year 8 Netball team attended the U13 State Schools Netball Competition. It was a great afternoon of Netball against some fierce competition but the girls held their heads high and played exceptionally well. Although we did not secure any wins, we scored a good number of hoops and had a really close result with Gillingham, losing 7-5 and then a draw with Westfield “B” at 5-5. A massive well done to all the girls involved - Ammie B, Araminta M, Keira C, Polly H, Elsa B, Amber HE, Anne C, Frankie L, Eve P and Layla B.

Our year 7 teams did us proud yesterday.After the trek to Selwood, our boys started well in both matches, creating plenty of attacks and passing the ball nicely. Selwood began to work their way into both games and began to turn the tide scoring goals before half-time. Both teams started the second half well, and it was great to see the friendly competition between the Academies. Final scores 5-1 and 6-2 to Selwood. We look forward to welcoming Selwood for year 8 boys and girls matches after half-term.
