Last Friday, saw Year 8 pupils take part in a STEM challenge to design effective wind turbines.
Renewable energy could be the key to addressing the climate crisis whilst allowing our greater and greater needs for electricity. As ever the pupils were a credit to the academy and fully engaged with the activities throughout the day. They approached all of the tasks with enthusiasm and ingenuity. Congratulations go to Jago, Joseph and Charlie for designing the winning model along with three Frome College pupils.
Our thanks go to our friends at Frome College for organising this event, which we hope will be one of many in the future.
Many thanks to Miss Manvill for accompanying the pupils on the day.
